This booklet contains a brief history of hop growing in Mendocino County. Hopland locals Chris Keiffer and Dave Sagehorn portray growing, processing, drying, and baling hops, as well as hop picking and the families that made their living doing so. Recollections of early hop-picking and hop-growing days are recalled by Laurence Hazel Pittman, Albert Wantt, Cecil Gowan, and Melissa Kendrick, Alta Ballou, and Bob Jackson.
